My Garden is my Studio - Home-grown videos

My garden is my studio, my sculpture, my field for experiments and my playground.

The rhythm of the seasons is influencing and transforming me and my work.

There is probably no more low-tech work as gardening. Never the less, digital media has proven to be the ideal tool to transport my home-grown artwork to an artspace and to make it accessible for an audience.

City people spend an average of 22 hours a day in closed spaces. There are airconditioning, cyberspace, and daylight-bright streets at night, but still nature calls... Not only in my garden, there is a time or season for everything.

Working outside I'm exposed to the wims of the climate like to cold swimmingpool temperatures. ( Poppy Petals Only)

Not only my computer plays tricks on me now, but also birds, snails and late frost. Random elements upsetting my plans prevent any linear realisation of my work.
But also force me to be flexible during the workingprocess.

The outcome of the work is never fully predictable,
but such is live!....

So far I have completed nine videos in my gardenstudio.
